Privacy

Your birth data is never sold.

SparkMagic is built for sovereignty. This policy describes what we collect, where it lives, and what we refuse to do with sensitive chart data. We do not sell or share personal information.

Last updated August 27, 2026.

What we collect

  • Email address when you join the priority list or create an account.
  • Birth date, birth time, and birth location when you enter chart data for personalization.
  • Human Design type when you select one on the landing experience.
  • Timezone preference stored in a browser cookie so daily briefings match your local day.
  • Coarse product analytics in production only (for example: card views, waitlist signup, HD type selected).

Sale and sharing

SparkMagic does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use first-party product analytics to improve the experience, not to profile you for ads.

Sensitive personal information

Birth date, birth time, and birth location are sensitive. We use them only to compute your Human Design chart and deliver personalized briefings. We do not use sensitive personal information for advertising, analytics, or model training.

What we do not collect in analytics

Natal data does not belong in analytics. Birth date, birth time, birth location, coordinates, and timezone are blocked from PostHog event payloads by design.

Where your data lives

  • Chart and onboarding progress are stored in your browser local storage on your device until you clear it or we ship server-side accounts.
  • Priority list emails are stored by our backend to send product updates.
  • Public Field briefings are static JSON files. They do not include your birth data.

Cookies

We set a timezone cookie (`tz`) with SameSite=Lax so `/today` and daily briefing dates align with your local calendar day. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Analytics

PostHog runs in production only when explicitly enabled. We load the analytics script so consent can change later, but we do not set PostHog tracking cookies by default. Events use PostHog cookieless mode with a server-side privacy hash until you explicitly opt in (a consent banner may come later). Browser Do Not Track is honored when present. Natal data never enters analytics payloads. We do not use your chart data to train models.

Export and deletion

Briefings export as markdown and calendar files you control. Email [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion. We verify requests and respond within 45 days. Chart data stored in your browser can be cleared anytime via your browser site-data settings.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

  • Categories collected: identifiers (email), sensitive personal information (birth data), internet or product interaction data (coarse analytics), and inferences (Human Design type you select).
  • Sources: you directly, your browser (cookies, local storage), and our analytics tooling.
  • Business purposes: provide briefings, operate accounts and the priority list, improve the product, and support requests.
  • Retention: priority list emails until you unsubscribe or request deletion; browser chart data until you clear it; analytics per PostHog project settings.
  • We do not sell or share personal information. No separate “Do Not Sell or Share” link is required for our current practices.

Terms of use

SparkMagic provides Human Design transit briefings for personal experimentation. Content is informational, not medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for how you use exported data. We may update the product; material policy changes will be posted on this page.

Changes

We may update this policy as personalization ships. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
